Dig Out

Dig Out is an atmospheric 2D platformer that translates the visceral experience of depression and self-discovery into gameplay. You are Echo, a fragmented entity awakening in a world of impossible geometries - landscapes inspired by Dalí, Magritte, and De Chirico that operate by their own internal logic.

Every jump costs vital essence. Every moment of stillness in meditation restores it. This cycle isn't punishment - it's the mechanical translation of what living with intense emotional states actually feels like: the cost of each movement, the need to pause, the tension between pushing forward and preserving yourself.

The creatures inhabiting this space aren't traditional enemies. They are manifestations - Echoil distorts your perception, Gloomshade drains your vitality, Slumbersome warps gravity itself around you. Confronting them doesn't mean destroying them, but understanding them through "Solve," a system that transforms hostility into comprehension.

Across five acts mirroring distinct emotional states - from initial shame and disorientation to final acceptance - Dig Out offers neither cure nor redemption. It offers something more honest: the experience of continuing to push the rock, finding meaning not despite the absurd, but through it.
